anybody know what i am supposed to torque the bolt in the primary to? was looking on TY and it said for general torque, 14mm bolt is around 61 ft lbs. is that close? i know the summit i am working on it 75.

I agree, the higher torque is to fasten the clutch firmly to the pto, and the second stage is to keep the bolt from stretching.initial torque 80-85. loosen bolt and retorque to 40-45.
factory spec is, and always has been 85ft lb initial torque, loosen bolt and retighten to 43 ft lbs.
That is what my Factory Service Manual states.
700MAXTRIP: Not sure where you got your info from but I am supprised you have not spun the clutch at 47 ft lbs. I have seen them spin at 60 to 65 ft lbs.
Are you sure you did not miss understand the 47 ft lbs to be after the initial torque of 85 ft lbs the loosening the bolt then retighten to 47 ft lbs?
