'99 670x high idle

I just bought a '99 670 Summit x and it seems to idle very high. It only has 2500 miles, and runs good, easy to start, etc. It just seems to idle at about 3000 rpms or so. What would cause this? Or is it just out of adjustment? How do you adjust the idle on this machine? Any ideas would be great.

idle screws

There is an idle screw on each of the carbs. You have to adjust them the same amount each.

I think idle spec is around 1800-2500 rpm - but that is just what I am trying to recall.

Check your throttle cables and lube them up while you are checking. Check all of the hoses and such on the carbs.

I think that the 99 has the DPEM and DESS - you should get a manual for it - can be had for 5$ or so on-line.
