99 600 loss of tach and keeps blowing all bulbs

last ride out a friend had issues with his 99 600 it blew out all the bulbs in the entire sled.. I did change regulator and it did it again..i just changed the stator and the tach still does not work and I have not replaced bulbs..
I pulled the entire harness and checked for bad spots and I cannot find any thing as of yet.
so I am looking for some input if any one else has had this issue

Pull the seat and check the wiring harness to the tail light. I had the same issue on mine and never found it til I pulled the seat.

I had the same thing happen on mine. Tried a new regulator and it blew the bulbs again. Tried a different regulator and then it worked. Possible you may have gotten a bad replacement regulator?

Buy the 2 wire Cat regulator from the aftermarket. HPE carries them, part number 174-308. Wire into a solid brown wire on your chassis for the ground side. They are cheaper than the Polaris one and last much longer.
