T got myself a 156 2 inch track for my sled, doing a mod on it its my dads old sled so we figure why not do something. I want to know if i will have to change the gearing and if so someone that can point me in the right direction. Im not sure what the stock gear ratio is but i don't think i'll have to change it much, thanks.

Is 41 the largest bottom gear that will fit in these chaincases? I to am putting on a different track this year and new drivers, I will keep my eye on this thread and see what people have to say makes a good combo.

I put a 153 under my 97. It runs great with 19-41 and 7 tooth anti-rachet drivers and instead of cutting the rails off to miss the drivers I just moved the skid back 3 inches and down an inch.

Could be different with a 98 RMK. I think you are right about the large tracks.

I swapped to 8 tooth drivers on mine and a 2" track clears by less then 1/32" could be different on the newer sleds, mines a 93 and I don't think they ever imagined the bigger tracks back then...
