i have a 98 700 rmk ....twin slp pipes and stingers ....slp head ....144 2inch track ....the sled works very well ....but i seem to be battling a bad bog issue off idle ....i had it out 2 weeks ago and it ran awsome ....fairly crisp all the way through the full range .....it was pretty warm out too ....then i had it out last weekend ....it was colder ....snowing .....a little higher not much ....maybe 4-500 feet more ....and the bog was back .....pretty bad ....plus i lost 250 rpm.....once we started coming down in elevation it got way better ......i looked at my plugs while we were up there and they looked perfect .....so i am a little confused ....a bog i think is caused by to much fuel and not enough air....so i opened up my air screws another half a turn ...didn,t seem to help.....i have already dropped my piolet jets from 42 down to 38,s and i run a 165 main jet ....riding 5-7k feet once we were back down the sled was back to 8100rpm and pulling real hard again .....so i know i have a problem with something ....just not sure what else to do any help will be much appreciated

i would replace the plugs anyways and it might go away.
hmmm trying to think of what else it might be???
i,m thinking the air temp had something to do with it .......high elevation and cold temp ......i not sure myself .....it,s a strange one
As you came down in altitude the engine needs richer jetting so if it started running better I would say jetting was too rich when you were at elevation. I am talking about the main jet here. Oddly enough having too rich of a main jet will cause a bog off idle. Adjusting the air screw would not really have much effect as you found out. Twin pipes are a lot more finicky on jetting than a single pipe setup.

As dumb as this sounds it may be a lean bog of idle keinds are werid some times as you go up the air has less signal witch makes the fuel not pull threw the jet so mabe try turning your air screw in to increace the signal.
