97 mm dont start again after riding

im stumpd went riding sat and stop 2 help dig a sled out and left my sled ideling for 2 mins then i shut if off dig out was going to take some time got it done and my sled didnt start changed plugs by pass carbs when pulling rope head lite lites jumpd kill switch i think maybe stater ? any sound bites thanks

Sounds like the stator has packed it in, the 97 's had an issue with weak stators.

what should it reed i belive if im reading my ohm meter right its 6.2

I believe it's supposed to be .5 -.6 white to white, so it looks like your stator is done.

thanks for the input im hopin thats the prob going to rip it down this week end

The fix was to replace the rotor and the stator as a complete unit, I honestly don't why they wanted this but that was the recommended fix.
