Seems you only need 3 things: fuel, air, source. You have spark, you have fuel at the carbs - but is it getting to the cylinders? Try using the primer? Is the primer pushing fuel or air? Have you checked the cylinder compression?

Oh, and Welcome to the forums.

Agreed, make sure you are getting fuel to the cylinders. after using the primer a few times and turning it over you should be able to pull a spark plug and see if they are wet. That way you know you are getting fuel to the cylinder. Just give three or four primes and that should be enough. Oh and watch your primer lines while you are pumping it. I have a 583 of about the same year and i need to put a new primer on it. but anyway, it will get to pushing air instead of fuel. But if you notice this same thing you canblow air into the tank and push air through the lines until you get fuel all the way through your primer lines. Works for me anyway.

Agree with all the above. If the plugs are wet, your most likely flooded. If you have the track elevated for some reason....Lower it or maybe try lifting the front end up slightly. These are notorious for flooding especially if facing down hill at all. Had one flood on the mountain this year and we pulled on the thing til the cord broke, then put a new cord on and yanked again. 4 guys and one pull cord later she was running.

Simple fix to help eliminate that is to reset the float height to the summit 99X spec. It won't completely prevent flooding, but definately helps in those situations

actually check for all three first, air fuel and spark, remember air means exaust flow as well as intake, then check compression. you have not said what you have found yet, so let us know.
