Twin pipes, if they are doing what they should, would require larger jets. I suspect my HAC is bad as well on my 95 670.
The Snowies averages 10,500 if you ride up north. Stock clutch setting 5. When my HAC was working 380 main jets and 65 pilot worked perfect (recommended setup by Laramie dealer).
My last trip out I left the stock 420 mains in and it ran very rich - to the point where I had trouble breaking 7,000 on the tach. It was a foo foo family ride so I tolerated it for a few days because I didn't feel like rejetting in below zero wind chill and snow.
I'd be curious how far the pin is recessed in the tube of the hac, in mm from the top, and what altitude you are at if you measure it. I've read it should be 3-7mm but don't know what altitude that was for. My local dealer told me the measurement is 14mm for 1400' altitude.
