The wife's trusty '94 XLT was really struggling in the powder last weekend. Every time my buddy who was riding it hit a powder berm and snow came over the hood, he'd lose power fast. Stop, clean the ice off the intake screen on the air box, and he was rolling again.
Currently there's a foam seal sealing the airbox intake to the hood (it was missing origionally) but there's no actual snow screen/filter to keep snow out. What do you guys recommend to fix it that won't be quickly plugged with snow? I thought about a porous foam strip around the edge of the intake tray setup between the guages and steering column.
