900 RMK coolant bottle

I was unfortunate enough to break the nipple off that comes out of the bottom of the coolant bottle that attatches to the fuel rail. Does anyone know a good fix for this? I didn't horse on it at all and I think the plastic was just brittle or already cracked.

thats just a by pass I deleted mine.when I put on the slp head.

I would just replace it since they are prone to vibration and cracking anyway. Plus they are cheap. One thing to help is to zip strip it to the oil tank to help prevent the vibration damage as well.

If you deleted the radiator, buy the coolant tank from the 09 Dragon 800, It already has the front hose connection delted so you dont have to cap it off.

yep, like Himark said..they are like $20, and alot easy then trying to fix it...

i broke mine too (just barely touch it and it broke) and i melted a brass fitting in it and silicone..it held up good,,but was only temp fix.

but you will have to remove your gas tank to get to the rear hose and good luck with the front lower hose too..its a BIOTCH with the motor in, lol

Good catch... yes, only for the 2006 will the 09 coolant bottle fit.

Thanks guys, just going to replace the bottle its only about 15 bucks. So the Dragon bottle won't fit the 05 just the 06? I'm pulling the motor anyway to do the mounts so I just have to remember to put the bottle in before I install the motor. It was already zip-tied to the other bottle so I just have to remember that too. I had a crap load of zip-ties I had to remove for pulling the engine, WOW! Lot's of McGuyver stuff on this sled!! Does everyone have a bunch of zip-ties too?
