I started the old nine a few weeks ago and it had an intermedient high idle from 1200 then it would jump up to 3500 and then down to 1200 ish. there was no check engine light. so i replaced the intake boots and added a fbf cable put it back together. now it has a constent idle 1400 but the check engine light flashes a single flash the spedomiter is pegged and it wont go into reverse when i hit the button there is nothing. I was wondering if anyone has any sugestions besides the tps or tps harness.

Thanks Rob

YEP..

1 flash is your TPS signal too low or too high...

you need to adjust the TPS using the testing tool, the video is down i believe which was awesome to follow...but if you check the "how to" threads..theres lots of info on it..

that is your idle and reverse issue for sure...as for speedo pegging...no clue

TPS( throttle position sensor ) I am pretty sure . One flash means the voltage is out of range. Check the connection . Make sure the pins in the conector are not pushed in or damaged . there is a TPS pigtail (wiring harness) update kit available. They are easily damaged and were poorly designed /cheaply built to start with.

lots of info on this issue and every thing else thse 9s need in the "HOW TO" links at the top of the 900 page.
