having problems with fuel. i can charge the pump with 12 volts and i can hear it pumping.then i can start it up but as soon as i remove the wires it dies. any feed back?

What's the capacitor charge on the gauge reading? It's the bar graph above the fuel level (while its running)

It should be at least 4-5 bars minimum at idle. If its low u have bad capacitor

i can charge the capacitor to 12 volts and it bleeds of slow but plug it into the sled and try to start it a nothing unplug it and test it for no volts is it still the problem?

You should, if you haven't already, thoroughly check your wiring for breaks. Start at the relay plugs and check the continuity even if they visibly look good on the outside.

I could be wrong and I'm sure someone will say so, but if your stator is bad and you give only the fuel pump juice I don't think it will start.

man it starts up for sure. but i tested the stator and i have continuity on two of the yellow wires. the link i looked at said there shouldnt be any. any ideas?

did you take the gas tank off?are you sure you have the wires plugged in for the fuel pump right by the fuel tank? Sorry never mind your pump would not come on if there were unplug.
