Anyone have any feedback on either the CPI or HTG pipes for the 900?
Searching provided me no relevant information.

no idea about the HTG..

but the CPI works well, it does NOT require a reflash of the ecu..and its lighter then stock by far..only issue i have ever heard with them is they do not seal well againist the Y-pipe..and maybe the can..so i would just use some heat temp silicone and double up on the springs, run 2 springs per tab..i do it even on my SLP pipe, CPI can..AND i safety wire my CPI can to my SLP pipe, along with silicone and double springs...

Thanks for the reply
I ask, because I'll soon be in the market for a pipe for the 900, and I wanted to know more about my options.
The HTG Y-pipe and pipe is pretty dang affordable compared to the SLP single. I was hoping someone would say its a good performer, but I have yet to find ANY feedback on it

You betcha
2006 Switchback 900 being converted to a mountain sled as we speak.

The SLP seems like the obvious choice and seems to have a good reputation, but I don`t care to pay the extra $$ for a can I already own and do not like.
$650usd for a SLP single set
$500usd for a HTG pipe and y-pipe
Whatever I end up purchasing will be run with my MBRP can

i agree...i would buy a used pipe if you come across one..only way i would buy one too if i had to..

MBRP can is great BTW!!

good luck on your build..

I talked to SLP a while back and they told me they sell the pipe only without the can.I don't remember the price for sure though.Talk to Dustin.

I'll have to give them a call and see if they'll sell me a pipe and a y-pipe without the can... would be nice. Otherwise, I might just try the HTG unit.
I am definitely getting a pipe for the weight loss... any power gain will just be a bonus:beer;:)

I thought no one could ever get twins to run right on the 9's? if there is some one who can though its you Derek, do you reflash the ecu for twins or something else?

If you decide not to go with the twins^^^, then I'd go with the SLP pipe and can. There is a big difference between the stock and the SLP on 05's and 06's. We tried a CPI a few years ago, no offense Sean, and the consensus in the group was that the SLP was alot better, more responsive and more power. The CPI was replaced with the SLP and that sled became equal to the others.

no worries...

yeh i have never seen or heard the CPI pipe..just knew it was cheaper and was better then stock..i have no doubt the SLP is better...:beer;

Still no real feedback on the HTG stuff which is what I am interested in hearing about right now. I found an old post searching HTG 900 and send the guy a PM. Hopefully he reports back quickly with an opinion

When it comes to POLARIS or Ski-Doo, there is ONLY, DYNOPORT!!:D But, HTG is DYNOPORT, 14 TRUE HP. without reflash. If you get a membership to DYNOTECH you can watch back dated video on the HTG/DYNOPORT pipe and the SLP, with reflash and many others. Let me just say, taking away fuel is no way to get big HP. I believe the SLP produced .5 HP w/o Reflash and 2.25 HP. with.
Owner of DYNOPORT, Rich Daley is the fastest man on snow/asphalt/ETC.
