900 fuel problem part 2

k...well we went down a little rabbit hole...

I'm a little confused as to where we are now considering the brn pin issue, the brown jumper wire and the recent running/fuel/spark episode...

so....
1. the brn splice that you added; do you need it or not?
2. did you ever check the diodes in the VR as described back on page 1?
3. did you actually have it running on its own?
4. have you tried to run it without the hood connectors/kill switch/hand warmers and ignition switch disconnected?
5. are you sure you have spark?

i just double checked all the brown again with it plugged in and the first single br on splice shows high reading so do pin three on fuel pump connector......yes i did have it running for about 10 min and start up i shut it off i start it up then that stop working when back to that way she was.......yes tried to run it with all that unplugged no diff........yes i have spark cus she runs with 12 volts........

Can you confirm the splice brn wire numbers? is the first single 18 or 25? Note that pin 3 on the fuel pump is the same as the 1st double on the splice (brn 83)

pin 18 and pin 83 .....and pin 3 all high readings

Are they the only ones? I would be a little surprised if they were...the purpose of the splice saver is to connect all the browns connected to it together so they should all have the same resistance to ground. Wiggle stuff around, ensure your meter probes have good contact to wherever you are measuring, check at the splice saver and at the end point...your goal should be to get more or less the same readings (short to ground) from them all. Some of them won't cause the issue you are experiencing but could cause other issues once you get the fuel pump licked. The pin 3 on the fuel pump could be related to your problem..

I'm out of here for today...

no i brought her to the shop but i dont have much faith in the polaris shop but will see i guess

Good luck...when I first got my 900, the engine had been rebuilt and it was showing a DET sensor code and going into limp mode, I didn't know anything about the sled and took it to the dealer. Long story short, I paid them almost $200 to look at it tell me they couldn't find anything. I bought a manual from them and dug into it myself only to find that they DET sensor wasn't even connected!

Unless the sled is under warranty, I'll never take another one to the dealer for anything!
