900 efi fuel pump issues

Sled ran great yesterday and then I shut it off and would not start until I dumped gas down the cylinders and then it ran great till I shut it off again. I pulled the fuel line off the pump and pulled the engine over and no fuel came out of the pump. Does the fuel system require a pressure drop for the pump to start pumping ?

Need to put a volt meter on the wire from stator. Should have 13 or 14 volts when you pull the starting cord. You can put a 9 volt battery on the connector to see if it runs. Could be smart vavles collapsed and will not prime the pump or some times the pump get reversed, you can use the 9 volt to reverse the charge back end forth to see if you can get pumping again. Or the pumps bad. I have also see the pick up lines get twisted cremping of the hose in the tank. Good luck
