900 efi dead spot at 1/4 throttle

I bought the sled in pieces and just installed a new crate engine. It fires up first pull and idles nice but its like the fuel shuts off at 1/4 throttle and if I nail it to full throttle it does what it should. Any ideas ?

throttle position sensor maybe. is it a new throttle body or oneyou had already.

i seconded rixster, had the same problem, i took it to dakota performace and he fixed it right up, didnt have to buy a new one, not sure what he did though. but it works now. call jeff at dakota perf, he knows everything about cats

I have had moisture get in the connection and make a sled not run at all. So now at the end of the year I clean that connection make sure it is good and dry and then put some fresh grease in it and snap her back together. Check that first, then maybe see what your dealer would charge you to adjust the TPS.

I unpluged the kill switch and problem is gone. Just like my cats in the mid 90's.

maybe you could try using some kind of isolator. Something to interupt the harmonics traveling up your bars.
