850 walk through with Polaris engineer

I wonder how many 800's had problem with varying fuel pressures? Must have been some kind of an issue if now there are pressure and temperature sensors. Maybe explained some of the low RPM issues of the past?

Man, guess I've been hallucinating, because I could have sworn that the Fuji 440 I've been tinkering on had single-ring pistons. But it was built in 1980, and the Doo 850 has only been available to copy for a couple years, so apparently that's not possible...

Seemed strange he said the 850 was clutched for same rpm's as 800, 8250-8300.

Same rev's but guaranteed different clutch weight with bigger HP.

Still interesting on same revs...I was watching BMP do pulls on the 840 with max torque at 8000/8050 RPM and HP at 8100 with a few different pipe heat numbers. Almost seems they are clutching on the high side, but I likely longer pulls and hotter pipe would definitely move the rev's higher

Time will tell.

Hmm I have one with estart coming which I will be removing. Wonder if I need that block off plate?
