850 Freeride “under heating”??

I have a 18 850 that won’t come up on temp. Runs between 82-84 F. It ran great all along 102-110 but we were parked chatting and within 30 secs of leaving it spiked the High Temp alarm. Stopped, filled with a bottle of water (all we had on the trail) seemed a little low on coolant. now it won’t run over above temps. Doesn’t seem to work right at the temperature either. Smells like it’s overfueling.

It’ll drop down to 78, run mostly at 84 and sometimes to 89.

Any ideas before I tear into it too much. Checking for leaks and stuff now.

That was my thought as well. New to the 850 so I didn’t know if it was a problem that may of happened regularly. But I pulled it off and that looks like be the problem. Thermostat broke apart on one side and stuck sideways.
