850 (clutch) vibration

I changed clutch weights and now it seems like I’m noticing more vibration at idle. It seems like my clutch is out of balance but I’m not sure if I’m just imagining it. I took a couple of slo-mo videos with my phone and it does look off balance, like it’s making the belt flop up and down, and the engine is flexing the on the motor mounts a decent amount. The x on the clutch cover and spider were lined up when I put the cover back on. Sled has around 125 miles.

How much vibration are other people experiencing when the sled is at idle?

We noticed what looked like pretty substantial wobble of the clutch at idle. When the rpms increased it smoothed out. I'm pretty sure the clutch follows the motor vibration.

Possibly your belt deflection changed with the clutch weights, causing you belt to grab at idle ?

Might be worth pulling the weights and weighing them

They are very fat in the bottom end, if your sled is fouling a plug slightly it could shake a whole lot more.

for starters I'd put the old weights back in to make sure it actually changed it as much as you feel like it did.

Then I'd look at the weights, make sure the bushings are good, double check the Xs on the faceplate and spider, weigh each weight... also post a vid of it at idle try to get a view of the front of the sled to see if the ski loops are wobbling or not. Mine idles buttery smooth compared to my 2016 800.

How many miles on yours? Mine with 232 vibrates pretty good. The whole motor moves makes wonder if the mounts are shot already. As soon as u touch the throttle it evens out though.
