850/800 secondary clutch offset

Casting marks on the back side of the primary may be causing mis-measurement. Remember this is a cast primary, the back side is not machined and may vary in thickness. The e-start clutch is machined on the back side making it thinner. That‘a why I built the alignment bar, you utilize a consistent machined surface.
With the keystock method you will need to pay close attention to your witness marks for proper alignment.
If you have a Patrick, or any other lightweight secondary, your measurement will be off with the keystock method or the TRS alignment bar.

When using this method, where on the secondary do you measure? If I measure at closest point of where stock meets sec then it's a different measurement than if I went to the top of the secondary. Center to center like. I've blown one polaris belt and completely cooked a dayco in 2 rides. Brand new 2018 holdover. Ya deep deep snow. But never in my 30+ years of doo has any belt been as hot as the one that blew the other day. Couldn't touch for over 5 min!

Sooo. I just came from dealer. 1100km on my sled. Blew belt at 600 500 on it cause I broke in another. But motor mounts I thought were wore so I took for warranty. Only the mag side was out of spec they said. So only changed those. I bought pto side to change myself. But had them re align clutches. And I get home and check according to this method and I get 2.4135"!! They said it actually could come in more?????it should be 2.6" right???

Nothing to see. Move along

I truthfully don’t see anything?
(The ignore function works great)

After the 5 day cognitive dissonance of “my chit don’t work” “my old doo never had hot clutches” moving into “my secret clutching setup is proven but mysteriously blows belts”

There wasn’t really any other option.........
