09 D8 with update! When I started the season with the update I was at 8,200-8,300, now I am down on R's. What is happening here????

I have run the PCV (SLP) with great sucess in teh bottom and mid range but nothing different on top. The only other problem is the extreme low idle after running for a while and re-starting, not to mention having to give it throttle to start (on a fuel injected sled no less).

Goes in tomorrow for a TPS check, who knows??

Same thing as mine. Mine is at dealer to check TPS and clutches as well. Both
were fine before the update though.

not sure on mine either..mine has lost a few rpms this weekend as well...not sure if its high milage on the clutches or flash related..mines down from 8350 to 8150 in 3 rides..gonna do some looking(pull the clutches and see what they look like) this week....

I have all new springs clean clutches and even tried a new belt, no luck!

09 d8 VS 08 and 2010?????

There is alot of the 09's mine included doing the same thing seems like it started out good now dropped to 7700 rpm's @6500 with SLP Pipe and the update kit. All the 08's and 2010's are running great pulling 8150-8300 WTF???? Just heard of 09 D8 blew up after the brand new flash Polaris came out with in just a few miles. Supposedly SLP Pipe and the new update do not work well together and Polaris says do not run SLP pipe.... So what is different with the 09 D8 than the 08 or 2010??? The computer??? Fuel Injectors????? The 09's seem to be using more fuel than the 2010's. There has to be something different between them... This should get very interesting before it is over!!!!!

Not ALL 08s are workin good!

My 08 ran awesome last year, now this year after the reflash its getting worse and worse, losing rpms and now its sputtering after a couple seconds if I hold it wide open, can't figure it out.

I had my primary rebuilt after about a 1000 miles. I then followed AKSNOWRIDERS clutching recommendations and went from 8000 rpms at 6500 feet to 8350 at 6500 feet. I run an SLP single with no fuel controller. I also have the latest reflash from polaris. Maybe the drive clutches are wearing out? My dealer told me that Polaris's recommended running rpm is between 7900 and 8200 rpms? Seems to me that is an excessive amount of difference. Be interested to see if mine continues to run well.
