800R Y-pipe -does it work?

I ride a 2007 Summit 800X -159 with the 800R motor. I have the HPS can and a custom 13-1 head. Considering the SLP Y-pipe. Has anyone tried this as a standalone without the rest of the SLP "performance package?" Gains? Jetting? Any negative side effects or reliability issues?

Works good on my husbands 2007 800R with 174 track

My husband has a 2007 800R Summit with a 174 track and is using the SLP y pipe with a Precision Preformance can and milled heads and he feels that the y pipe did make a difference. This sled with his own clutching just rips. Haveing a great year for lots of powder and he has not come across a single sled that can out do him in the powder. He is a big man, 6'3" , 250 lbs and he does say that a sled of the size does require a big man able to ride it or with the power and track length it has a tendency to push you straight when under full throttle or trenching snow, but there is so much flotation that he can just let off the throttle for a second turn it and go again. Great in the trees. Lots of power and real responsive.

What are the jetting changes when adding just the y pipe?

You shouldnt have to rejet.

Put your stock can back on and it will run better.

FredW has tried a couple different Ypipes. He liked the DP one the best.

Who is DP?

Who is the DP that makes the preferred y-pipe? What did he like about it that distinguished it from the others? Rejet?

dynoport. I could be wrong. Im just going from memory, BUT after doing some investigating I found that all the aftermarket ypipes don't really do jack. If you measure them, they are the same size as stock.
