All the 800R motors (07 through current production) do not have the user adjustable RAVE valves ...they are smooth on the outside, and have a vacuum line connected to them. 06 model is the first production year for the PowerTek, other than the sticker on the side of the machine, I'm not sure if you can see the difference?
You can tell by looking for red centers on the power valve covers. If that doesn't do it look at the cylinders, the R motor has one piece cylinders (thier attached to each other) the others are two seperate. If there is no starter the R motor still has the starter gear on the primary.
