800r airbox mods

I had originally gutted both my inner and outer airbox on my 800R. Ran good, checked the plugs a few times and looked ok. I did end up have a lean seize but it was my own fault.

I Ended up getting the SLP cold air intake kit and they recommended puting the inner airbox baffle back in so I did.

Mod Air Box

I put 2 each 2.5" SLP flow rite intake vents in my inner air box, and then 1 each intake vent on my side pannel so the air could make it to the inner box easier. Notice a difference, you can hear the air getting sucked into the box now where as before nothing. LET ER BREATH!!

Interesting....Only thing I notice is that they are from Ontario and it looks like an air induction type system which works great on the trail when you are going 50mph but when you're in the MT's and snow is covering your entire sled they clog like my buddies toilet when the glass figurine falls in:) Reminds me of the M series air intakes being right below the windshield.....one bop in the pow and they's covered.

I have covered my sled completely all day long 3 weekends in a row and only felt a bog once.
