800 ves pistons

I'm putting my 03 800 rmk back together and was wondering about spi pistons.
I've heard that wiseco pistons for this motor suck and oem is the way to go but how about spi? I haven't really heard anything about them in this motor

Have used only SPI in all my rebuilds for the past 5 years... they work great. Screw Polaris and their crazy inflated parts prices. Use the SPIs, you won't have any issues other than extra money in your pocket.

Just did a rebuld with them in my 04 800. Seem like good pistons, other than that can't tell you much only got to put about 40 miles on the sled cause our snow is all gone.

Yes, they're good slugs, in my personal experience. I do/have run them. They weigh similar to OE and expand like OE. I'd get the coated ones though. Good luck.

THE best thing about the stock piston is when you melt a piston or blow a motor parts are available RIGHT NOW. If one dealer doesn't have it then call the next one. One of them usually has stock.

I put SPI in my 03 800 a few years back and about 4000 miles later they are still working good. Yes, stock Polaris rings work just fine on these as well.
