still waiting for 800 updates piston and head kits here in southern mn and northern ia. Local dealer gets a kit every several weeks. What a pain! Does anybody-including Polaris Industries-know whats going on?

The update kits are back ordered due to every 08 and 09 dragon gets it wether its modded or not. Its in high demand and the recession didnt help out the production of the kits either. Same issue up here in Canada

just talked to my dealer today, he said he just got off the phone with Polaris. Polaris told him that there are 2000 kits on back order and they are going to send out 500 tomorrow and another 1000 on Dec. 7, 2009 They said the last 500 won' t be shipped until Jan. 6, 2010. If Polaris is telling the truth. the guy from polaris did not know which dealerships were going to get the kits I am hoping I am one of the lucky one's I leave for the mountains Dec. 25.

Man, that stinks! I am glad I got mine to the dealer right when the kits came out. I sure hope Polaris under promising on the ship dates!

A good buddy and I got ours done over the last few days. Mine turned out ok, other than the fact that they have had my sled since august and did absolutely nothing until last week. (Service guy said they had a major recall on John Deere mowers that had to be dealt with:rolleyes:)

He is getting boned around over his. His ECU wouldn't update as is mentionned on another thread.. the mechanic is saying his Koso EGT setup killed the ECU and they want him to foot the $600 bill for a new one. The issue is that he tapped into the 12V accessory wire (as per the kit's instructions) to power the display and this has supposedly munched the ECU. Ahem... so I suppose if he had wired, oh, say a helmet visor plug to that same wire it would have also voided the engine warranty? Sounds fishy to me.

Anyhoo... I'm rounding up proof that this is a fairly common issue so we can bring it over there. Never had a problem with this dealer before, but this mechanic has a wicked chip on his shoulder and we're dealing with a new service manager.
