Any one still running the original 08-09 cylinder head? Wondering if it would be beneficial to change back to the older head.

Well it definitely makes more compression and they are getting hard to come by. I have been considering the same thing, the original set up made about 10 hp more then the 2010 update with the head, jug, and pistons with the original fuel map.

Well we can adjust the fueling but don't know what the timing was on the old ecu flashes.
If the timing was bumped up on the newer flashes to help with the lower compression it might not be a good idea to run the older head. Or is it........
Maybe open the chamber up a little so it's not quite as high compression?
Boy, I have trouble finding info with the search function. I know I have read the old and new compression ratios before. 13.5 and 11.7 come to mind.

No one has any input on this?

I still run the 08 head with original 08 fuel mapping with a PCV. I did not partake in any of the updates. From what I know it is definitally higher compression.
I know the 2010 head had some issues holding rpm at extreme elevation.
I don't know that we have ever discussed whether the timing had been changed or not. I would think that the older head would still work better. Just be sure to use good fuel.
Here are a couple of threads with the info you might be looking for.
Want to put an 08 head on 2010 update.
