800 EFI Motors

Greetings,

I've got a '02 800 MC EFI w/ 3300 miles that's never been touched. Anyone have much experience on how long these last? Should I be thinking about new pistons?

I've had great luck with other EFI sleds lasting.

No problems other than stator re-wound at 1700 miles.

id think about doing new pistons, i mad it 3500 and there i sat next to the trail. broke a skirt on the piston

What Diggler said. New pistons ASAP. Have one 4500 miles only pistons, bottom end like new.

That would be my 4500 miler and it is ridden hard

Hmmm, I had a rewound stator at around 2000 mi also.

New pistons it is. I was thinking I should probably do it since it's not hard. Thanks for the replies.
