800 edge backfires

I have an 03 edge 800, fired it up this fall and at idle it runs fine but when i start to rev her up it starts to back fire. Have stared the season with new gas and changed the plugs. What else can cause it to backfire. Any help would be great. Thanks

Did you make sure you didn't cross the spark plug wires when you changes the plugs?

it doesn't matter on the plug wires, if it does this on the throttle it could be your temp sensor. I have seen it before.

Will simply unplugging the temp sensor tell me if that was the problem or is there another way to troubleshoot......Oh I just had a brain surge I belive I have a temp bypass resistor somewhere. If this is not it I'm open to other suggestions.

Sounds like a classic temp sensor.
