800 Dragon Altitude Compensator

Does anyone know how an 08 Dragon 800 compensates for altitude? A sensor perhaps? Sled idles fine at sea level (22-2300)and is crisp and responsive. Unload at 2500 and idle is around 18-1900 and surges. At 4000 ft. idles at 1400rpm and surging worse.
Overall performance through 8000rpm worsens as altitude goes up. Thanks in advance for your help.

Built onto the back of the ECU is a clear little box with a chip inside it... That is the Barometric pressure sensor... It has a little vent nub on it to reference ambient atmospheric pressure.
