800 Crank Bearings

you realize they are inside your engine right?
Absolutly!! Mine has 2 tubes coming from each side of the case with a cap on them. A guy once told me to fill a syringe with Bombardier grease and give them a little shot

Um........Never seen that done before. I just pulled my crank out and had in spun balanced. Then I packed them with Isoflex Topaz NB52. I found it somewhere online for less than half what bombardier wants for it. I wouldn't recomend squirting anything into those tubes or even removing the caps until you talk to someone of more experience..........there are lots on here. This last summer I tore down my whole engine with info I found info on here, on dootalk.com, and the help of Kelsey at RK Tec. I know that the pto side has a metal L shaped tube with a yellow cap, don't remeber one on the mag side, and I would not try this. Just my $.02

Thanks Worth $$$$$ for info and advice

pto side

I have repacked pto side from the outside when belt debris takes out the pto side seal. If you pull primary and seal retainer, then you can easily remove seal and pack outer bearing with isoflex. I have seen several sleds that had belt cords stuck behind primary clutch that have destroyed the seal. Something to look out for.

That is the only reason to repack the pto bearing...That iso is designed to run 3-4k+ and by that time on a mountain sled you're due for a new crank anyways. It's in line with preventative maintenance. The pto bearings are onlt 1/3 of the main bearings and you've still got the worn out rods/rod bearings...if you're that convinced you need to replace the seal/re grease, doo yourself the favor and get a new crank. And keep receipts, it'll help with resale should you ever decide to sell your sled
