ok heres my scenario... 09 assault

ran like crap end of last year. first ride still ran bad. went to dealer and reflashed newest flash, stole one of his carryover sleds and service manual to bring home and ohm electronics out. turned out voltage regulator was funky so i stole his off of the sled.
while i had everything tore apart i reset my tps with my pcv.
IT RAN AWESOME!

now....... (mind you im leaving for montana tomorrow with this beast... hopefully)

today i finally got my new updated voltage regulator from the dealer
(well, the box had the updated number on it but the one in the box was same number as old one, whatever)
and i ohmed it out to make sure, it was good, then put it on.
now pull the rope to take it for a spin quick before i swap heads for out west and no spark.

wtf

i pull plugs and no spark, unhooked pcv and checked again, nothing, plugged it back exactly like before and HEY! i got some!
screw plugs in and starts and dies. same $#!t

now what?

anything to check?

i have an iqr throttle and kill switch so theres no safety switch in the throttle. and yes, theres gas in the tank, my plugs were soaked

and the power commander lights were blinking like normal when i was pulling the rope too..

Frau, go out, turn the key to off, hit the kill switch to off....pull the sled like you are gonna start it, 1/2 dozen times..then ..turn on key and kill switch and pull it..should start on 2-3 pull..if not repeat same procedure..the capacitor will loose its charge..so no fuel pump power..only way to recharge it that i have found..good luck...

there was a third set of plugs, old take outs on the bench, threw them in... started up, died, started, died, held it wfo and it took off.

wierd as hell

its running at least!

Had a similar problem with my 2010 assault. Would start and run for about 1 second then die, like it it ran out of fuel. Assuming that it was out of fuel, I would pull the plugs, pour some fuel in and it would run again, 1 second and die. Check everything in the fuel system. Finally disconnected my powercommander 5 and it ran fine, Dynojet sent me a new one and ran fine.
