8" tires on sled trailer

Heading to Utah from boise Idaho this weekend with a cheep trailer ( early 90s zieman) I bought to pick up a sled, small 4 wheeler, and a small dirt bike. I'm getting new tires put on today, and already replaced the races and bearings on the trailer. My question to all is what's the fastest you would tow that 2 sled trailer both empty and loaded. First sled trailer that I have owned and I usually like to cruise at about 80-85.

You can travel that fast w/those tires, but personally I wouldn't do it.
Look how much faster that 8" tire is traveling compared to your 15, 16, or 17" tire. If you do decide to travel that fast I would stop along the way several times to feel the hubs/bearing to see what their temperature is.
Just my opinion.

That was my thinking lost. But when I had new tires put in today the tire guy said he would be comfortable going 85 with them. I think ima stay safe and cruise about 65.

I've been running 8" since 1999, probably averaging 2-3 trips a year with my trailer and the trips are 1150 mile round trip. 70-75 most of the time, never a problem that wasn't my fault.

The one time I blew a tire was because the tire was 7-8 years old and we may have been going more than 75mph on a 60 degree day.

Trailer tires

You should be good. I've pulled my 2 place trailer well over 80 mph sometimes faster with a tail wind on long trips before. Only have lost a tire once because they were old and found out after the fact the one that went was dry rotted. If your axles and tires are fresh and your not overloaded let her buck. Just have a spare with.

Ive towed the 8" tires on 700 mile trips with two sleds on a trailer like yours and never blew a tire going 80. I have blown a 8" tire with one sled going 60 before though. Maybe being off balance had something to do with it. Tire was in great shape when it blew.

Titian makes a 13 wheel kit, comes all hardware and a block that raises trailer 1.5 inches. I went with with mag wheels also, no rust

made it down and back. the little trailer towed pretty good. both empty and loaded. cruised 75 the whole way back with no problems.
