Usually they r based off of the 600 HO motors, & u can clearly see its a small block motor by looking at water pump & recoil

These were all based off of the pre-HO cases, the SLP 727 was a derivative of this engine and based off of the 600 HO case. While Polaris never built them in the 600HO case, a lot of people have upgraded them to the HO cases.
