700 twin pipes

I can think of two guys who'd be able to tell you.
Dalyn at http://www.dmax.ca/
or
John at http://www.sledheadracing.net

From my experiences cross breeding different size pipes on smaller or larger cc sleds, is you must know what rpms the pipes want the original engine to run at.

So say a stock 01/800 engine that originally run at 7850 however with the addition of the pipes, the manufacturer wants them to run at 8200 THEN when setting them on the 700, calibrate the flyweight to get the pipes to run at 8200 and then go from there to see if they feel better with less rpms or more rpms.

What brand are the pipes?
What rpms does the manufacturer want you to run the pipes at on the original mounting engine.

...and if you need any clutching help, shout me up. I have a kit that can dial in that 700 w/twin pipes pretty damn quick with little tune.

Dont do it!

I stumbled across a Dynaport setup for an 800 and I was considering trying it on my 700... I called Dynaport out of curiosity and they stressed how important it was to match exhaust with the model they were intended for! Could cause serious issues over an extended period of time... or the first ride out

have a set of cpi pipes on an 02 700, and i can honestly say they do work and well. so far never had to do more than change the clicker settings. would definitely recommend the pipes.
