700 dragon

i wanna know what do you guys think of the 07 d7 how does it perform (without mods) and how does it last.

SLEDNECK,

I'm assuming you're asking about a 155"??

I have a 2007 D7 (121") purchased brand new, 3700 trouble free miles, my bud, identical sled, 2500+ trouble free miles.

Reliability is priority for us as we do several 500 mile "saddlebag trips" to where we're away from the truck and trailer for 3 to 4 days at a time.

Minor mods in my signature.

PC III was the best mod, period, V-force, waste of $$$$$$

Although it looks like I'm going to upgrade to the PC-5 /Autotune for this season.

Very happy with the ride and handling, bottom end and mid-range performance.

Top end should be stronger would be my ONLY complaint.

Purchased 12+ Brand NEW POLARIS sleds, this is the BEST one yet.

I describe them as an "over achiever". I had one, and loved it to death. You will get alot of the same responses from other people on here also.

They are bullet proof, one of the best motors polaris has made, wait the best motor they have built.

Same as everyone else has said.

Almost 2000 trouble free miles and running as good as the day I bought it:D

Absolutely love mine, motor is strong and reliable, chassis is fantastic and I came down from an 800cc machine last two sleds.

Have one now.
Engine is bullet proof.
Front end steers heavy (easily fixed with Holz easy steer spindles).
If you don't relocate the rear tail light, at least drill out the rivets and flip it over so you arn't kicking it all the time.
There is a direct opening from the headlight adjuster knob into the airbox. This lets in snow and debris. A couple strips of black duct tape over the adjuster knob cures the problem.

Other than that, it's personal preference and venting.

Definently the best point and shoot sled on the maeket. No complaints.

Does a lot more then point and shoot... I take it you mean best right out of the crate with no mods, just giver?

This sled is an amazing sled to carve, climb and boondock with... I rode it for 2 years only reason I am selling mine is because I have a 09 D8 now...

Like everyone else says the 07 D7 was bullet proof!!

Dream It!
Believe It!

If you want to drop, carve, hill klimb, play amongst the trees, jump ramps or just horse around in the puff the 07D7 will fulfill all of the criteria above. I got mine in 08 and had one problem with it. The resistor in junction with the voltage regulator gave in and fried the ECU, but this was a guarantee case. After 20 mins at the shop it was ready to play.
IMO probably the best sled Poo has produced.....

my 08D7 has been pull and go from day 1. Over a thousand VERY HARD boondocking tree bashing miles on it now and the only problems have been alot of bent A-arms.... But, some shots that only broke lower A-arms probably should have totaled the bulkhead, good thing Poo heat treats them for toughness!

Got 3600 hard miles on mine. It has been rolled, crashed, flipped and then some. Best sled I have ever had. My buddies and I joke about the stuff that brakes. I'm like polaris really needs to make these things better. My list of broken parts consists of 6 sets of lower a arms, 2 powder pro skis, 1 steering hoop, front bumper plastic ,and 3 windshields. Like I said though, best sled I have ever owned.

Had an 06 and 07 doo that were both piles will never go back to doo after them. Bought an 07 D7 with 1000 miles on it and put 1000 more on it last year with no problems at all. Going to put anoth 1000 on it this year and I have no reason to sell. This year just doing a few mods, re gear, differnt springs and helix's in the clutches, f bombs track mod, better boards, skins bumper, it already had an slp pipe on it but I don't know if that made to much differance. I think the 07 or 08 are one of the best deals you could get right now.

Also a member of the new steering hoop club. In addition mine's seen a new tunnel, A-arms, and a WE shock. Great sled.
