700 BIG BLOCK TWIN WITH 800 BIG BLOCK CYLINDERS????

I HAVE HEARD THIS IS POSIBLE I HAVE 1998 XC700 BOTTOM END AND 2001 BIG BLOCK NON VES CYLINDERS AND COMPLETE TOP END. MABE JUST THE PINS NEED CHANGED HAS ANYONE RAN OR BUILT ONE OF THESE WITH STOCK PORTING PEOPLE SAY THEY ARE A GOOD REV MOTOR WHAT IS YOUR IMPUT????????????????

The 700 has a different diameter wrist pin than the 800, I have heard rumours of guys using cageless wristpin bearings from rotax/skidoo engines but I do not have any firsthand experience with this. Also the 700 has a shorter stroke/connecting rod, you would end up with something like 770 for a displacement. Don't know about the pin height in the pistons either, you would definately have to do some measuring, if you figure it out I'd love to hear what you come up with.

I dont thing the cylinders will fitt in the bottom end. (Larger dia. on the 800 jugs.) Its probably possible to make it work.
But will require a lot of machining. Get a 800 bottom end and save a lot of work.
