7' X 29' Inline / and long tracks?????

Been looking at 7' wide inline trailers and had a couple questions for guys you have them.

I've been kinda going back and forth on length (29 or 31) and tandem verses triple axle. I guess my first question is how well to four 163's fit into a 29 footer???

For the guys you have the 31 footers can you fit five long tracks, I've heard yes and no????

And of course, I've searched and found some info on the tandem verses triple axle but anybody have any other thoughts on this??

Shortest straight box length for four is 22' so with a 29 footer, plus the V-nose, it would have plenty of room and think it would fit five.

For a trailer that long, triple axle is the only way I'd go.

I have a 7x29 inline. 4 163's would fit no problem. We have had 5 long tracks in it, 2-163's, 1-155, 1-153 and 1-146. It was very tight but they did fit. As far two axle vs. triple axle. Triple axle is the only way to go pulls super nice with the triple axle. Turning radius isn't as good with the triple axle but pulling that big of a trailer probably shouldn't be trying to get into spots that you don't have a lot of room to turn around. Probably can't go wrong with either length or axle combo.

I have a 29ft and have no problem with 4. You can get five if you take one ski off each sled. I back them all in. Sparks trailers in Minn. has some nice ones. It all depends on if you want alum. or steel. Two axle is all you need, the most your going to have is 2500#

Thanks for the reply's guys!

With four 163's how tight is it?? That's kinda the main question, if a guy should go 29 or 31 (total length). I just don't want to be jamming them in there and cuss every time we're in hurry and loading. Plus it's nice having that extra room for bags, tools and all that other crap that seems to follow us to the mountains. ha ha.

As far as tandem or triple, I'm thinking the 29 would be okay with tandem but if I went 31 then I would go triple.

Didn't you have this for sale recently?

If so it would be the perfect trailer for FatDogX!

(This trailer is very nice!)

decisions

Last fall i was thinking the same thing as you. I went with the 31 foot cause I have lots of people I ride with have 29. the biggest "load" was 3-163 pros and 2-153 cats driving them in front to back starting on the opposite side of the ramp. best of all we didnt have to do a thing to them! no taking skis off or nonsense like that. When we used a 29 foot 4 still fit easy but to get the 5th one in we had to lift one tunnel up and a big pain in the ***. i havent actually took a tape to each manufacturers sled but im sure they might be a little bit different in overall length due to the differences in platform and such. I then had my order ready to go with tandem torsion axles. I started thinking about a lot of things such as if your hitch is two high two low you dont get equal weight distribution and such with torsion where a spring axle will. I then thought with more tire contact when going with three tires you should get less swaying and such in cross winds going through the passes. When I contacted the dealer and they dont warranty triple axle torsions so i went with the spring. It is an all aluminum stealth brand and pulls like a dream. Hope this helps.

Sparks Trailers now has an all aluminum 7x29 reasonably priced with alot of options.

Just keep in mind that you do get what you pay for.

I'm not saying everyone needs a featherlite or Aluma, but there is a reason why they cost more.

My buddy has a 7 by 29 you can fit 4 in no problem we got 5 in once when i went with that trailer, we had to load some forward and some backwards, had 1-153 m, 3-163 m, 1-162 king kat. We had to load the sleds hoods under the tunnels as far as we could to do that we had to block up the tracks, then the last one went in backwards in between the two back ones we kicked the two rear ends all the way over to the wall then backed it in this is in the rear of the trailer then we also had to block that sleds skis up at an angle to close the door. So a 31ft would have helped us a lot. I would just get the trailer that is a little longer can't imagine that from a 29 to a 31 footer would cost much more. Sorry for the long post
