7' SnoPro Sport Deck Ramp Issue

Check this out.. I just picked up a new SnoPro 7' deck, upgraded decking, slide out side, and superclamps. That's the good news. For some reason they cut down the lenght of the ramp to 8'2". I called the dealer, and they were basically useless. They said because the deck was. 7' a shorter ramp was included. The only ramp Snopro has listed on their site is a 10'6". The 8' is way to short/steep. Dealer is telling me they will swap out, but it will cost me a other 250.00. This is bs. I am going to call Alcom (parent company tomorrow to see what they say. Anyways, if your looking to get a snopro or mission deck in 7' beware. Deck is in a 6'7" Sierrra 2500. Was quoted same price for 8' deck but opted for a 7' to allow for garage clearance, and I only have ski doo shorties.

sounds like an ordering issue to me, not a SnoPro issue. common sense would tell you a shortie deck comes with a shortie ramp.

I have had a Mission deck for 2 years now (buddy of mine has for 4 years). The decks themselves are fine, the ramps are absolute garbage however. I had one warrenteed due to flexing and bending in the middle. It was about to fail. When I got the new ramp, I immediately took it apart. The plastic derlin slides will fall out, I promise you. I riveted those in place. I also added a second set of ski guides to make loading/unloading diff width sleds easier.

Im not sure what length my ramp is extended. I can measure it for you if you would like. Wether is 8ft or 10ft, its steep either way.

Ramp

I called sno pro this morning. The dealer did not specify that I had a 6'7" bed in my gmc so snopro assumed it was going in a 5' bed, that's why I ended up with a 8' ramp. Bottom line, they are swapping out with the 10'6". Not sure if they changed design on the ramp, but the 8' ramp looks real heavy duty. We will see what the 10'6" looks like. It will definitely change the angle quite a bit for loading,

Looked at a few of those decks and I have to agree the ramp is a VERY poor design. I cant believe they think double faced tape is going to hold up on those slides. the slide out sides worked just as bad.

I would do as suggested and take the ramp apart right away and at least rivet the plastic slides in place. Eric
