looking to build a 670 turbo, thinking about buying a comeplete engine with a areo 53.want to info myself up as much as possible.looking for any old kit manuals or just info that i can buy on 670 turbos-thank you for help.

I don't think anyone has any manuals or instructions on the old 670's. we just use to through parts on them.
there was such a small amount of us guys doing turbo's on sleds at the time that we just had fun and there was no rules or history for that matter. i can sure tell you any thing you want or things that we did. I can also set you up with some parts but instructions are not out there. :face-icon-small-sad

Flat slides

Personally I would use a flat slide carb equivalent of whats on there. I would also find an end dump pipe off an older F-2000 chassis that housed a 670 instead of that horrible side dump pipe. I might just try that, I have a nice 670x, a pile of turbo parts and a big Aero 53. It would be a fun project.

thanks guys for checkin this thread out-certainly not new to snowmobiles but somewhat new to turbos-so im soaking any info up like a sponge-keep it coming.

i got a turbo manual for a 670 that i can photo copy for ya and send it to you. its very helpful. i am also building a turbo 670 as we speak so shoot me a message with any questions.

I had an aerocharged 670 back in the 90's, ran the aerocharger 53 turbo with meth injection using a automotive windshield washer tank/pump and an adjustable mikuni powerjet plumbed into the charge tube. My memory is a bit skittish on the details this is what I seem to recall. I ran sea doo center crank seals, had a special extra thick dynoport end dump pipe made and used a crankshop .047 base gasket to lower the compression some(Im a flatlander). Even with reduced compression and 6lbs of boost it didnt like pump gas, I always ran avgas or better. We also played with the turbos vane controller by adding a spacer that was about 10mm thick to make more boost, seems like we got 11 or 12 lbs that way. It was a sick lake racer but a rotten trail sled, eventually I sold the turbo setup to a guy who was going to install it on a summit to ride @ high elevation. On the lake a buddy of mine said riding the sled was like time travel... thats where TT670 came from.

Theres a guy on snow and mud that has a turbo 670 converted to fuel injection, I think his name is Deano 670, might be worth your time to chat him up.
