660 or 2014 800?

I have a 2013 600 pro. I am either going to big bore or snow check an 800. Looks like the 800 engines are pretty reliable. To do the complete slp kit it is getting pretty close to the same as it would be for me to go with a new 800. What would you do?

Personally, I would go for the 14 800.
Seems like the 13 800 motors have been really solid, I love mine.
Super crisp throttle response
I think there will be a lot of subtle refinements on the 14s and you get a new four year( for what it's worth) warranty, new improved belt, etc, etc
Have not ridden a 6 tho

If you are a smaller rider i would do the 660, They are a awsome motor, i had a one in a 600rmk a few years back and it was great, i have a 2013 pro 800 and i would love to have one with the 660, the throttle responce is super crisp, they are reliable and just a blast to ride. they also look like a stock 600 so thats kinda fun to lol. Its also nice to have something different than everyone else on the snow as well. If you do get a 800 let me know if your gonna sell your 600. :face-icon-small-hap

I would do the Carl's 660 which is 2000 for the bigbore, clutching, air intake, and Ecu program. There kits run real well.

Agree....I would do the Carl's 660 kit also.

Unless all you do is ride groomed trails and climb chutes.

660 NO doubt about it! Great horsepower, and super reliable. Need I say more when you are 20 miles in the backcountry

As of a month ago carls doesn't have a pipe for the 660, there were planning to build there own because they didn't see good enough results with the slp 600 pipe.

ahh, you are correct sir. i forgot. but if/when carl's offers a pipe, you will want that also. :)

If you are a smaller rider (sub 185 lbs)... IMO... you will feel that the 600 is more nimble... Less "gyroscopic effect" from the 6mm shorter stroke and less rotating mass.

Big guys really don't notice this that much... but us 150 lb riders do.

The 600 is an overachiever... The Carls 660, even more so, a very refined package.
