600 Turbo Axys Questions

I have a 2017 600 Axys and was wondering if anyone has ever turbo-ed one? If so what were the results. Or should I just wait and Snowcheck an 800 in spring and boost that. I've just been hooked on 600's since I got rid of my '10 Assault for a '12 600 PRO. It just feels like the 600 is a smother sled to ride, and the fact that when you put a 6 places your buddies couldn't put their 8's it's awesome.

600 turbo

I just installed one for a friend of mine he jumped on my 16 axys 800 turbo and was hooked he had a 16 600 axys, so he ordered his silber turbo and we installed it and he has only gotten to ride it here in Iowa so far but wow is he impressed and has such a big smile on his face, we will be heading to Wyoming next week to give it the real try and to see how he will compair to my turbo 800 axy and another friends new 17 stock 800 axys. I don't think you can go wrong with the turbo on the 600but you ccan't replace displacement of the 800 that 800 just responds so so well to boost.

Hey I'm the guy purepolaris is talking about and so far at low elevation I couldn't be happier with the kit. It took a bit on time getting the clutching right as not many people have a lot of experience clutching a 600 turbo. But I will give you an update after going up in boost and elevation on how it behaves. And yeah those guys on the 800s better be worried lol

What clutching you running for low elevation?

How long does the 600 take to spool up compared to the 800? I'm assuming it takes a bit longer due to the smaller displacement.

It spools just as quick as my buddies 800 which is virtually no lag but I'm curious to see at higher elevation if it will be affected like other people say they are, but have never rode a 600 turbo. I don't think it will be!

I'm running almond red primary, 74 gram MDS p1 weights, and black/purple secondary. I have my 5 lbs spring in.[/QUOT

Fuel being used? And do they reprogram the Ecu on the 600s? Are run the old style dobeck controller.

I'm running 50 percent av gas at low altitude at 8000 ft I'm planning on 2 gallons per tank. And yes they do a ecu reflash so it is pull and go no messing around with a fuel controller.

I have an old iq600 that has a Carl's cycle 660 kit and a boondocker turbo. I have it set up for 11 lbs of boost at 7-10k. there is a little lag below 6500 rpm but after that its gone. I run 50% 110 50% 92. I'm interested to hear how you sled runs. I'd love to have my 660 in a new axis.

600 axys turbo

We are on our way back and I got some time trying it out. The sled ran pretty good but I didn't have anything in the low end. If you got past 5000 rpm it ran very well and would take me anywhere I wanted to go. As far as getting it tuned a little better I am going to try a more aggressive primary spring on the next trip. Every place has closed for parts so I couldn't get one while I was there.
