600 SDI Electrical nightmare?

I bought my wife a 600 SDI, had the electric start installed by the dealer, took it out for the first time.
It frigg*in sucked.

The battery for the elctric start was dead in a matter of 2 hours. The hand warmers didn't work properly. The engine once the battery was dead backfired and wouldn't idle correctly

I charged the battery again, took it out. I t ran great until the battery light came on again.

Any ideas?

I would take it back, Did the dealer install a bigger battery for the E-start? The factory one for the sdi is very small and probably not enough reserve for repeated starts, you think it would recharge though if it was a good battery.

Yes the dealer did install a bigger battery, it will hold a charge if not used, but it is obvious that the SDI is relying on the big battery. Atleast that is what it seems like due to the fact that it runs like cr*p when then electric start battery is dead.
