Has anybody thought about, or tried putting a 600 E-TEC efi system onto there 800r? Maybe running it with a megasquirt if the PCM can't be modified. Was just shooting the **** with one of my buddies complaining about how I wish Ski-Doo would do an 800 EFI and this option popped into my head.

Yup, wait till march. Also, the Etec is not just EFI, it also is direct injection of the oil to the bearings and the raves. I don't think it could bolt on.

Indeed, i think the kinda work you would be in to convert to DI would basically result in a full new top end on the sled build to hold the direct injection setup.. like anything, it can be done, for $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. lets see what doo has to say with the new wave of sleds!!
