i have a m1 dd, ( 60 :60 ) that i want to run with m800( pipe,y,can,intake,reeds,fuelbox).. reason why i am wondering , is i have it ,, and dont want to buy new gear sets. is 60 60 going to through a monky wrench in the entire set up? right now its clutched and fueled well ,, ,, the M8 gear set i am going to use with a 1000 ,, and have enough parts to put another sled together ,, just wondering about the mate of 800 to the 60 60

What kind of elevation and what track? At low elevation i've seen crossfire 7's run 141 attack 20's and 144" 2" lug tracks without any big problems. Both had 60/60 gears, so a light mod 800 shouldent have too big of a problem.

Tried lower gears this weekend in my 07 M8 with head/port/pipe. Couldn't get my secondary spring light enough to keep mid>top end shift and prevent slipping. Going back to stock gears were it pulls much harder.

A friend did same (geared down) on his 09 M8 with pipe only and it worked great. But, we have different secondary clutching solutions (RKT w/153 vs shift assist w/162).

9+ alt w/162.. hmm, 60:60 seems high to me.

Not sure this helps, just our experiance.

if you want it to hall as$ across a lake, but not boondocking or climbing, the belt issue alone would prob pay for the gears.
