On my 08 F250 6.4L i just got back from bringing the wife to work and as I pulled in the garage the check air filter message came on. I was hitting small to a bit over foot deep finger drifts for about 40 miles both ways plus a solid 6"s deep on our gravel road for 2 miles. The snow is heavy grainy snow. The air filter is completely plugged up. I didn't have much problems on my 5.4L but my 4.6L is horrible for snow plugging it up. I do have the winter front on which from the way I was reading the manual should have helped with this problem. Does anyone have any ideas on how to help alleviate this. What do the guys with plows do so they don't plug filters. Thanks for any help. I can't imagine this filter is cheap the way it looks and can't let my pickup just sit cause we have snow.
