5th chute in Monster bowl?

Well were going to go look at it this weekend and see if there is enough snow to get in to the gut of it. Going to need some serious track speed the last half too.

I am going to have to look into this!!!!!

"Mental Man"...., too funny.

I just got back into Revy this evening, ....."home sweet home"!!!

Cheers to all.

that looks like a very nasty climb, make sure the camera's are rolling if you attempt it

Duke, ...the Project is well, I should be done by late October or into November, home in time for sledding!!

This "other" line next to the "Monster", has me curious as well, ..however, it has been a long time since I was down at the Lake looking up, ..I am usually at the toplooking down, ..catching some pics. I suspect that I will be much wiser by this time tomorrow, ...lol.

Are you coming back for a day ride??

Thanks for the Video Links!!

Cheers

Left of the monster with a lil cornice in that pic. Straight up from
the "r" in monster. I'll point it out to you next year so you can pull it.

How did it look??>??? Heard you all had an awesome afternoon saturday, wish I didn't have to rush back..... should be good snow for another 3 weeks up Revy, eh????Boulder anyway, maybe sale too..No one tried the Angry Pirate though??????

The Fifth Chute was not an option, the snow pack has disappeared dramtically in the last week, particularly anywhere near the rocks, ..the exit of the Fifth Chute was all exposed rock for 30 to 50 feet.

Likewise, I stopped above the Pirate and the snow was gone with bare rock in the gut, ...without shovelling in a huge ammount of snow it was not an option either.

The approach at Monster was a mess, between ruts, ice and huge snow chunks. Waylon managed to get over, but was on the Rev limiter due to ice, once through the "throat" he picked up speed.

Shain Stanger laid down an awesome run on the Monster, cut a line above the mess and straight through the throat, ...made it look casual.

The McLaren Mile was conquered as well.

The chutes are pretty much done on Boulder, unless conditions change.

Cheers

Did you guys hike down and fill in Frenchies Ledge, or was the snow settled that much that it wasnt even an issue. When i hiked down to help him and i was looking back up the gut of the mile i was barely abover perfectly eye level with the hole and im 6' 2"...

It must have sluffed in, as no one did any shovelling and there were no comments about a big hole. Waylon, Shain and Travis all pulled it.

with some more melting and some warm weather,, we'll have a bunch of new Krazy lines... hopefully... between rocks and stuff. but we need some warmer snow for traction, climbing this stuff these last few weeks is really scary...
