550 Indy 144 Anybody tried it?

Polaris started making this in 2014 and at 429 pounds, it seems like it could be a decent learner sled for some kid right around the age of 8-10 who has a dad (like me) who isn't a mechanic that isn't really ready to take on a big project of a sled build or of constantly working on an old beat up sled.

Has anybody tried this? Any luck? Reviews, positive or negative?

Freakin' love this sled.

I bought one for my 15 year old daughter. It has 3,600 miles on it. Her sister has a 2012 550 Shift 136 in the IQ chassis. It has 4,800 miles on it.

Great sleds. When she will let me, I ride it. I enjoy it.

429lb? Dang I assumed they'd be lighter seeing all the Pros are in the low 400s.
Either way, I just reccomeded this in another thread.
My 9 and 12 yr old boys love riding my pro and both are very comfortable with the stance.
Have an old 550 though and it runs great. Enough hp to keep up but won't pull your arms off when you bury the throttle.
Looks like the best combo out there for kids that have some hours behind the handlebars already. IMO if you are budgeting that much.

I bought a 2014 trail 550, 144" for my 8 yr old son. I soon decided he was way too small to have much fun on it. I found a skidoo 300 freestyle and it's much better for him. The Indy is a great sled and I'm sure he'll have fun on it when he gets a little bigger.
