Turbo

I don't know alot about this turbo or it's condition. It is on a project sled that a friend of mine picked up and asked me to part out. The sled was not in running order when he got it and he is not interested in messing with it. It does appear that everything needed to make the turbo set-up work is there. I will get my hands on it this weekend and asses things a little more.

Aerocharger

O.K., I got the parts from my buddy finally and here are some more pictures.

I really don't know much about this stuff or it's condition. The turbine does seem to spin fin but I don't know what the internals look like. From the looks of the parts and the rest of sled that it came off of, I'm guessing it may need a little attention.

For all of you that sent me a private message, sorry it took so long to get back to you. If you have any more questions, please let me know.

Thanks, Mike

A little more info

I have learned a little more about the turbo and it's condition. I removed the band and separated the exhaust side of the housing. The impeller and variable vanes are intact and move correctly; however they are stiff so I would guess at the very least a good cleaning and new bearings would be required. This would be a good project for someone that has experience working on them.
Check out the new pictures and let me know if anyone is still interested in making an offer.

Thanks, Mike

Aerocharger Out of Business?

I heard that Aerocharger was going out of business is this true? There is a used Aerocharger sled I was considering buying but didn't want to get stuck with a boat anchor. Look'n for some good advice!

They did a few years ago...but back in biz now. Someone else owns and operates them. Hyperturbo.

Aerocharger Out of Business?

Thanks Scott. I heard from someone at the Jackson Hole Big Hill Climb that the current company HyperTurbo (or Hiperformance) laid off their staff and in danger of going out of business this year. I passed on the used sled because I didn't want to be with something I couldn't get repaired or serviced.
