52 miles of Bliss

Coming off of a 2010 144" 800 RMK the Pro is one sweet ride. I was a bit concerned with the apparent "power issue" I am a big guy230 dry wt. That concern is gone, it has plenty of power and rides like a dream. Kept it between 5500 and 7500 most of the day. Easy to put it over and keep it there just like you all said. It also does well on the way to the hill in the bumps, might be a bit less enthusiastic after a 110 mile day but hell the 144 was not much fun then either. Used about 1/2 tank, cant wait to use more. My Klim bibs lack pads so I may need to ket a set, anyone try the pads Polaris sells?
One problem huge problem, I need to give the camera to my buddy, So I can have some action shots. He loves his new cat, corners great & good power.

congrats man! you AK guys are so lucky getting that early riding
i'm not jealous i'm not really

Haven't seen too many new Pro's with a tall windshield. How is your buddy coping with not having any wind protection?

He ordered a mid ht for his, it is on back order. He had cold hands (outside). The snow did not get him much. The cowling has a bat man look with the lights sticking out and above the cowling. A bit like the old Phasers but one solid piece with a groove below them it deflects the snow down and around so not much gets over and onto him.
I ordered mid and got tall, will likely get a mid when they are in. I rode it and it was ok, I stand 90% of the time. The real issue was the tall hits your brake handle on sharp right turns. I moved the riser back and rotated the brake handle down. Still hits, not as much of an issue but will suck when I need a hard turn with power then I will be hosed. It did keep me warm.
